    What is the function of the calibrator for SF6 relay?


    To clarify the role of the calibrator for SF6 relay, you need to first understand the function of the SF6 gas density relay.


    SF6 relay is an important component used to monitor changes in SF6 gas concentration inside the SF6 switch during operation. SF6 relay performance directly affects the operational safety of the SF6 switch.


    The long-term operation of the SF6 relay, if not frequently operated, may lead to phenomena such as inflexibility and poor contact after a period of time. In severe cases, the temperature compensation performance of the density relay may deteriorate, leading to the failure of the SF6 relay and endanger system safety.


    Based on the above situation, maintenance personnel need to use the SF6 relay calibrator to verify the operation of the SF6 relay to ensure the normal performance of the SF6 relay without affecting the operation.


    Safety precautions before calibrating the SF6 relay


    • When calibrating the SF6 relay on site, first disconnect the power and equipment connected to the SF6 gas density relay to avoid damaging the SF6 gas density relay calibrator.

    • When the environmental temperature of the calibrated SF6 relay differs from the temperature of the SF6 gas concentration relay calibrator, they must be in the same position and at the same temperature to ensure the calibration accuracy of the SF6 gas density relay calibrator.

    • The alarm signal wire and interlock signal wire on the terminal block should be disconnected during calibration to prevent the formation of a loop between the secondary loop and the signal wire, which may affect the calibration results of the SF6 relay calibrator.

    • The SF6 relay to be calibrated should be placed upright, not lying down, as this will result in inaccurate calibration.

    • After the test is completed, after emptying the residual gas in the pipeline, the gas pipe can be removed.

    • During the test, do not use the quick exhaust port to avoid wasting gas in the gas source.

    • Vibration is strictly prohibited during the calibration of the SF6 relay to ensure accurate calibration of the SF6 relay calibrator.

    • The calibration device is a precision electronic product. It should be placed at a temperature between -20 to 70 ℃, with a relative humidity not exceeding 90%, and the air must not contain corrosive gases.

    • The SF6 relay calibrator should be protected from severe vibration during transportation and prevent rain or snow from wetting it.
