TOL-140R Digital Transformer Oil Level Gauge

The transformer oil level gauge is a device specifically designed for measuring the oil level in transformers . It typically consists of floating elements, transmission components, indicating elements, alarm components, sensors, etc ., and is used for real-time monitoring of the oil level in the oil storage tank. As the oil level rises or falls, the oil level can be displayed on the instrument panel or monitoring system, helping operators monitor the oil level. When the oil level is too high or too low, an alarm signal will be sent, ensuring the normal operation of the transformer. As an important transformer mon- itoring device, the transformer oil level gauge plays a crucial role in the power system. At the same time, the product has advantages such as high-precision meas- ure ment, safety and reliability, easy installation, and maintenance.

Application of Digital Oil Level Gauges in Transformer ComponentsApplication of Digital Oil Level Gauges in Transformer Accessories

Digital oil level gauges are essential intelligent monitoring devices for oil-immersed transformer conservators, revolutionizing traditional manual oil level inspection with precise digital sensing and remote data transmission capabilities. They are critical for ensuring transformer operational safety and promoting smart grid construction. These gauges have wide-ranging application scenarios. They are indispensable for power transformers in grid substations (35kV to 1100kV), on-load tap-changer (OLTC) oil tanks, and new energy-related transformers. They also fit offshore, tropical, and other harsh environments, as well as both new installations and retrofitting of old transformers. Additionally, they work for industrial transformers in chemical plants and data centers that demand stable power supply. Unlike traditional mechanical gauges, they adapt well to extreme temperature fluctuations and humidity, maintaining accuracy in -40℃ to 85℃, which expands their applicability in remote and harsh areas.
The core roles are multi-faceted. Firstly, they offer real-time, high-precision monitoring. By eliminating mechanical wear issues, they capture tiny oil level changes accurately. Equipped with 4-20mA or RS485 signal output, they connect to SCADA systems, enabling remote real-time monitoring and historical data storage, which reduces on-site manual inspections. Secondly, they provide proactive safety protection. Pre-set high and low oil level alarms send timely alerts, preventing insulation deterioration, poor heat dissipation from low oil levels, and oil overflow from high oil levels, thus avoiding transformer damage and safety risks. Thirdly, they optimize operation and maintenance efficiency. They support condition-based maintenance by integrating with IoT systems, helping operators analyze oil level trends to spot potential leaks early, cut unnecessary maintenance costs, and enhance the reliability of the power grid.
In conclusion, digital oil level gauges are a key part of transformer digitalization. They boost equipment reliability, lower O&M costs, and lay a solid foundation for the stable operation of smart grids. Their integration with smart grid technologies further realizes intelligent diagnosis and predictive maintenance, making them an indispensable component in modern power systems.
